to be heard. 
A protocol on "Successes" is used which leaders reflect upon afterwards as having been a very useful way to recognize their efforts to date.

The group comes to terms with the difficulty of establishing partnerships between the K-12 and higher education sector.  A renewed effort to focus thier inquiry is spurred as a result.

]]><![CDATA[SESSION TWO]]>Wed, 30 Sep 2009 02:14:47 -0800http://www.ousdcharters.net/2/post/2009/09/session-two.htmlSession Two brought extra-ordinary insight and information.  The inquiry group held two fishbowls.  The first involved leadership from Laney College including department heads and faculty.  The group revealed what's worked and what hasn't in the Early College and concurrent enrollment programs they've experience.  This was followed after a tasty
dinner by a fishbowl of district and charter leaders discussing their diverse experiences leading similar programs in their schools. 
Each Fishbowl was video-taped and will be available for all who could not be in attendance.

]]><![CDATA[NEXT SESSION]]>Wed, 23 Sep 2009 22:30:09 -0800http://www.ousdcharters.net/2/post/2009/09/next-session.htmlThe next Inquiry Session FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 4-7PM will be held at MetWest High School at 314 E. 10th Street in the Harper Building across from the Laney College football field.]]><![CDATA[SESSION ONE]]>Sat, 06 Jun 2009 15:45:35 -0800http://www.ousdcharters.net/2/post/2009/06/session-one.htmlThe journey has begun.  With twelve charter and district high schools participating, the Oakland Inquiry Project began its effort to discover the best that "Early College" has to offer at the scenic Jack London Aquatic Center.  From American Indian Public Charter High, who has been offering classes to its students on the Merritt College campus for the past three years, to Coliseum College Prep Academy (CCPA), a growing 6-12 district school that is contemplating the role Early College will play in their future Senior Institute.  The group began to establish its norms, build trust, and setting goals through a strong agenda facilitated by Greg Peters of SFCESS.  The next two sessions begin an engagement with the local Peralta Community College system, and high school students who have experienced an Early College programs to see just what's working and what's not.
